Heritage

Limburger, first introduced in Belgium, is the most famous of all Belgian cheeses. It was made in the Liege region and sold in Limburg. The Germans began making Limburger and later naturalized it, making themselves the sole producers in Europe. This assertive cheese complemented their taste for highly-flavored game and meats. Limburger Spread is made from natural Limburger to the specifications of Chalet Cheese Co-Op, the only producer of Limburger in the United States.

Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Ohio
Excellent.....Arrived early Friday Morning in great shape & rushed my sister in laws right too her & she had to have a taste right then & there.  She is also as  happy as us.  Thank you for the extra spread instead of the brick.  Also the Elk sausage is great too.  In fact we have an elk farm up the road from us.....

Like the old April 12, 2013
Reviewer: Budzer from Grass Valley Ca.
The last Limburger & Liederkranz we bought was weak flavored. We used to buy Kraft's 4 oz. jars and even then had to look for a batch  that was strong enough then buy a lot of it.

One can't buy Limburger or any strong cheese anywhere East of Sacramento Ca.

The spread is wonderful - keep it strong !
